Nominations and applications are now being accepted for the 3nd Annual Graeme Carswell “Follow Your Dreams” Award. This $500 bursary will be awarded to a deserving young Falcon or Falcon Alumni who best exemplifies the characteristics of Graeme. who tragically passed away 3 years ago.

These characteristics include:

1.Follow their dreams.
2. Live their passions.
3. Always be kind.
4. Be a positive example for their team-mates in whatever sport they play.
5. Be self-less, humble, spontaneous, modest, charismatic and have a sense of humour.
6. Appreciate and love music.
7. Have compassion and respect for others.
8. Give their time freely to mentor younger people.
9. Be genuine.
10. Make a difference.

The deadline for the application is June 8, 2018

Falcons Field Hockey is proud to offer scholarships to deserving graduates. Scholarships of $500 towards post secondary education are awarded each year to deserving students.

The application deadline has been extended this year to May 7th, 2018 Applications form can be found in the attached document, or in the Documents section on the website (bottom right hand corner of the site)

You can either mail the application to our mailbox or drop it in a sealed envelope with anyone on the executive. See contacts to email the executive.

Falcons Families

We are please to announce that we have negotiated preferred pricing from 3 local equipment vendors. Ak Pro, Field Hockey Shack and Just Field Hockey. Each of these vendors brings something unique to the field hockey community. All three vendors offer products to meet your field hockey requirements: Sticks, shoes, shin guards, mouthguards, stick bags an various accessories and clothing for both on and off the field. But each carries different brands and services that may be preferred by our members.

As well, two of these vendors (Field Hockey Shack and Just Field Hockey) are offering a royalty on each sale made to Falcons that are either for available to apply to Falcon’s shared equipment (e.g. Goalie gear) or a contribution to the general funds that help keep registrations fees down.

The Delta Falcons have arranged to host a set of 3 High Performance practices to kick off the spring season. The sessions will be led by Cailean Meredith, along with other talented and successful Falcons alumni. The sessions are open to any U12-18 Falcon players looking to supplement their training and improve their skills. The details are as follows:

When: Monday April 16, 23, and 30th from* 7:00-8:30* NOTE TIME CHANGE!
Where: Winskill field
Cost: $25 for the three sessions
